Currently i own & use the .org version of the domain for my website.
Would it benifit me to go and buy the .com & also the .co.uk?

If it's available, I'd grab the .com. That's just for brandability though, it won't make much of a difference for SEO.

So just buy it so no one else can & do not use it?

I was thinking of buying the .com & .co.uk then redirecting them so that if anyone goes to them, they are changed to my .org one.

That would be the best thing to do, so I'd buy them and re-direct them to the main website.

Does doing this effect seo in anyway? Good or Bad?
😛

Many people see .com as being more "authentic" or "trust worthy", but any domain extension can rank highly if you do it right. I don't think it will do any bad for your SEO if your main website is already live.

The main use of a .com is usually for making your website brand-able. But for niche specific websites, any extension will do.

Yes, im not talking about changing my usuall .org domain from my website, im just wondering if having several domains (.org, .com, .co.uk, etc..) pointing to my website at once will be bad?

😛

Why would it be a bad thing? Have a read of this: http://www.seodiscovery.org/seo-myths/d ... z2Jh2B2FRd

That should answer what you need to know.
Thanks, ill have a read at that now 😛
Not sure, just thought that maybe google and other search engine may have seen it as duplicate content as each page will have a few different versions of its domain out there 😛

Yes, that would be helpful. There will always be some people who have the name of your site in mind, who then go to a browser and type your site name followed by .com.

Yes, thats another reason i was wanting to do it 😛
One more thing, how would it effect my tracking of visitors, traffic, hits, etc.. ?
Do i just set up analysis for each domain? or when someone visits, lets say the .com, will i see where that visitor came from before visiting the .com on my normal stats (which is with the .org)? or On the .org stats, it will just come up several visitors all coming from .com? 😛

If you are starting a non profit organization then you need .org domain..

otherwise, .com comes at first position..
