I am not a big fan on shoutboxs on forums. It makes the forum look a bit untidy while also attracting spam and taking some activity away from the forum.
 
Yes I know, I don't like it as well but I need something that will attract more people to my forum. Any Suggestions?
 
I don't know a lot about the subject of your forum but I like the style. It is one of those few dark styles I like.
 
I think your niche is very well chosen, perfect for Mike 🙂 , your skin is nice but putting a shoutbox will decrease activity in the forum, as people will talk in it rather than taking time to look for a topic or start a new one
