I am being serious for a moment. This forum started out so great, and just...died out with the users. What can we do to change and make it better on this forum? What do you all suggest and want...? I wish add-ons were not so expensive.

I started off by myself in December doing threads and getting stuff ready.

Paid add-ons and themes are a bit off the table sadly! I CAN do it, but due to a fixed income it isn't advised.

Edit: I am keeping the forum around regardless on if it is a success or not. I am not closing it down, no plans to.

Marketing is a completely different thing. These days we need content, marketing and SEO people for a forum to grow and become a financial success. Especially when we are trying to run a general topic forum.

The problem is, with everyone going online, the opposite of the natural happened. Every single service that was free went paid to take advantage of the crowd. Plus, everyone is now a website owner and is doing funny things by flooding money into market, products and SEO.

It is ok to put money as long as we know the returns are going to happen. But the content industry is so oversaturated that small players can do little here. Winning the investment back is a challenge.

The text logo was just a small placeholder thing, but yeah agreed. I should do an actual logo for the default set theme.

I've done post packages and paid for posts/threads on here and other forums. I plan to do post exchanges.

I also think the other issue is I don't have any of those cool add-ons and stuff other forums do due to them costing. I'd love the moods add-on as that's the best and fun.

I have found the moods app gets used for the first few weeks, then most people just set it and forget it; I would not waste money on that one tbh.

Yes, that's also true. I honestly think most add-ons like it would be used for a few weeks and then just forgotten about. Maybe I will see about the TV/Movie add-on in the future.
