Disney+ ad-free vs ads

Disney+ Standard (ad-free) is NZD $18.99/month in New Zealand, while the ad-supported plan is NZD $9.99/month — a difference of NZD $9 per month.

Would you rather deal with ads and save $9 each month, or pay more for an uninterrupted viewing experience?

I'd probably just pay for the ad-free version. I did it with Hulu where the version with ads was a little cheaper than the version without ads, so I just made the choice to pay more for an ad-free experience. If it was a huge difference in price (like $10+), then I might be a little more wary, but less than $10 isn't really a huge deal and won't really make or break me, at least for me.

I won’t pay for ad free. Not worth it IMO. Plus when the ads come on, I make it a game and be productive until my show comes back on….I also have ADHD so maybe that’s why it works. 🤣

I usually don't pay for the ad free apps so I would just stick with the standard subscription with ads. The only platform we're paying for to get rid of ads is Youtube premium. We use it so much that it's worth every penny IMO.

If I'm going to pay for a streaming service, I'll take the cheaper option and have the ads. That way I can also pay for Netflix/Peacock/etc as well. I'm not currently paying for any streaming services at the moment though.

For me and my partner to do a YouTube Premium family it's like $40 NzD a month. Ouch!

Here in the states it's about $20 for the family plan. But I just did the conversion and $40 NzD is about $23 USD which isn't much more than what we pay. Still that seems quite expensive!

All my other streaming services I pay for ad free. However, for Disney+ I pay for the ad supported one. And that's only because it was only $3.30/m Otherwise I wouldn't have it at all. the $3.30 is the kind of price range where convenience actually makes it worth it.

I usually wouldn't pay for it. There isn't much on there I watch, and if there is just 1 movie that I cant find on the streaming services I do pay for, the high seas I go 😛

It's so stupid that you have to watch ads in the first place on a paid subscription. People are always getting greedier.

We have the ad version at this time.
