So what happened to all the classics Disney made:

-Aladdin
-Lion King
-Toy Story
-Beauty and the Beast
-Little Mermaid
-Cinderella
-Tarzan

because now they make all crap movies..the best movie they made so far in my opinion is UP.

99.99% of all TV, movies, and music within the last 10 years is crap. Pure crap. When I was a child, I remember the Disney channel being very suitable for children, no commercials, and each show always had some sort of "lesson" to teach (e.g. actions have consequences, respect, etc). Now it's all just trash with pre-teen girls who barely wear any clothes at all.

I agree with you 100%
Is that why you have the Miley avatar?

Anyway, it's pretty clear that DC has gone into the toilet. I do miss the great cartoons like Recess and the Aladdin television series.

But as much as I dislike DC, I do enjoy Hannah Montana. It's like the nicotine of television; you know it's bad but you can't stop watching it.

Its a time era thing. We grew up on them. The next half-generation is growing up on what we have today.

Mr. Money, please understand something. Disney still have Pixar 🙂 .

I heard this coming season was going to be the final one.

But anyways, I don't watch the Disney Channel. Could care less as of now. I do remember the "classics" though. Primarily Recess and the Aladdin.

It is. Oh well, for a show with only four seasons, it printed a whole lot of money.

I couldn't have said this better myself.

Television in general is fairly stupid these days. :/

On a side-note, Lion King is probably my favorite animated movie of all time. xD Hakuna matata.

I agree. Lion King is the best.

Disney tells children, the only way to get anywhere in life is if you are a prince, or princess. You COULD be an flying elephant, but HEY! NOW YOU ARE A REJECT! <:

Dude, didn't they stop at 3 (which is sometimes called 1/2)... :S

And funnily enough, both 2 and 3 were quite good. Maybe not up to par with the first one, but most movies aren't up to par with the first one either.

It just means we're getting older 😛

Remember how many times your parents tried to talk about their favorite movies/shows when they were growing up ... and you laughed.

Then when you try and show them your favorites, they didn't care.

It just means the times are changing.

Disney just finds it easier to use CG for their movies now, instead of the hand drawn artists, good music, and very entertaining stories we grew up to. But now, the flashy bright colors, noisy, annoying, and loud Sound FX, and "nursery rhyme" inspired tunes in those CG movies are what keep kids of today entertained.

Even including Pirates of the Caribbean? They made that too, and I think that a lot of cinema was suffering until PotC came out of the woodwork and inspired everyone again.

That said, I adore the classic Disney films and am heart-broken that there aren't more like it. Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favorites. Lion King a close, close second and Aladdin very near the top.
