Your Quick Review
Pros:
- I like the forum category table, it looks nice and is kind of unique.
-The navigation animation is nice. I would recommend that on scroll over it turns either white or black instead of the greenish color it is right now - nothing else in the theme is green, so why have that green? It doesn't compliment anything isn't flattering to the navigation bar.
- It's great that you have at least two topics in most categories. In one you have none, but only one isn't that big of a deal (unless the subject in question is drugs). I would recommend that you work a lot on activity, but since your forum is so new, your activity isn't really expected to be too high.
Cons:
- I dislike how you have a custom mouse for your forum. Maybe it's just me, but it makes the page freeze up and is just generally annoying. I would recommend that you get rid of it.
- You currently have a .co.cc favicon - that's not good. To make your forum stand out when someone book marks your forum, you should get a custom or pre-made favicon. If you're looking for pre-made favicons, then I would strongly recommend that you go to
Free favicon, which is a free favicon sharing site.
- The top of the forum looks to be a mess - I'm not sure why you have bland text at the top of the forum, then a small banner below it. I'm also not sure why you have a "owned by.." graphic up there too. The forum isn't for you, it's for your members. Stating so blandly that you own is not serving any purpose at all.
I think you should get rid of the bland forum name and description above the navigation bar, and replace that with a well-made banner. Getting rid of the "owned by" graphic and graphic with the name of the forum on it also wouldn't hurt.
- I think you should remove the "powered by .co.cc" in the forum title. Your forum having a .co.cc domain is apparent by the URL, and doesn't need to be announced. And honestly, why advertise another site when yours is still so new and can't afford to loose any viewers to another site?
- I would recommend that you request posting packages, do exchanges, and invite friends to your forum to help your activity. Since your forum is new, it also wouldn't hurt if you advertised and submitted your site to directories. Making topics in the appropriate forums on promotion or administration boards and requesting packages while you're there is a great help. Also joining forums of the same or similar genre and putting the link to your site in your signature there may also help you a bit.
Final/General Thoughts:
I think that the main thing you should work on is the top half of your forum.
