DNS Hijacked :(

A forum is the easiest way to crush by destroying any reliable reputation it has.

This can be done by posting on the same page the forum in question is getting members - traffic from.

Example:

http://www.promojunkie.com/forum/entert ... ke-us.html

http://forumassist.org/showthread.php?tid=1668&pid=8620

http://www.onrpg.com/boards/showthread. ... experience

http://forums.mybb-plugins.com/Thread-y ... amelike-us

Replying in these type of promo topics with the truth about him will surely make his forum inactive in no time.

Its like a house. How to make it collapse? Remove the pillars.

In this case all backlinks - promo topics are pillars to keeping his forum going.

Thanks for the help master, but I, my clients and my family have decided to cut our losses of around $500 and start anew.
It seems like a lot, but oh well!
Worst things can/have happened - it is small in proportion to other global issues out there.

I made a little change to his thread at forum assist.

This makes me sick. Doing something to someone innocent like this is plain wrong. I'm not one for slandering or any type of hatred but I'd definitely be up for destroying his reputation.

The loser that decided to take action against my sites (that do no harm to others) effectively made it quite difficult to regain them back.
However, the problem stems from my family not having access to the original transaction proof; something required.

There is still a chance that we can get it back - actually it seems likely. However, I am moving on from this. If we get the account back, GREAT! If we don't though, I plan to keep my stride and not be upset about it.

I don't see why your registrar is giving you so much trouble.

Godaddy gave me access to my account after a short 5 minute phone call. No proof required or anything. And namecheap was a bit more strict and wanted proof like I said, but they weren't this unreasonable.

It's stupid. I'll never use them again; When if they had helped me out a bit more we probably would have gone on for another 3 years after these next 3 years pass over.
In total, including dropped domains, we have had 13 domains with them. They are about $11 each there so that's $143 just in domains, plus about $6 per month - 6x36 = $216 x 2 = $432 + $143 = $575
It's a shame they're so willing to throw a loyal customer out the window like this. But, I guess for all they know we could be the hackers.
You'd hope they would just check the IP though.
