First of all, do forums receive way more views than blogs? I mean if a person visits a blog, they may read 2-3 blog posts which counts as 2-3 views. The same person might visit a forum and read/post through 10 posts which would count as 10 views. With sites like BuySellAds or Adsense counting pageviews, does this mean that forums have an advantage? Let me know your thoughts!
With a site like BuySellAds where ads are sold based on impressions, while a forum could offer more impressions, a blog could potentially charge more money per 1,000 impressions because it won't be the same people seeing the ads over and over, but it'll be unique people. A blog may have less pageviews per visitor but many more unique visitors! 😀
Everytime I click on a post does that count as 1 impression? Because I tend to read a few posts and comment on a few posts a day which probably ends up as 30 page refreshes. Does this count as 30 impressions on buysellads?
I'm not too familiar with the technical business, but I thought advertisers did as we order them to do, no? And with blogs it usually takes more time to read through the articles and leaves comments compared to reading posts in forums which are usually shorter, I guess. But clicks are subjective, depending on the taste/interest. Not sure about spam bots, though. XD
I prefer advertising on blogs. I generally feel that blogs have a higher chance of being better quality than forums. Readers generally read a blog article for a longer period of time than they may read a forum thread or post.
