Do energy drinks really work ?

i actually i dont know about another energy drinks, i had some more times the redbull. and i really appreciated i feel some energy raises in my body. and of course glucose i also feel like the same.

so i feel the energy drinks give some more energy to our body.

I'll admit that I haven't read the majority of posts in here, but my opinion (which is essentially fact): yes, energy drinks work as intended. The reason that a lot of people don't seem to notice any boost in energy or awareness is because of the fact that they are taking in enough caffeine and vitamins in their diet that it essentially nulls the energy drink because your body is used to the amount you're taking in.

If you go off of caffeine for, say, two weeks and drink an energy drink, I can guarantee that you will feel the effects. As for how long the drinks last (such as the 5-hour energies) -- that is totally up to how your body takes the ingredients.

Caffeine is a stimulant and it will stimulate you depending on your tolerance and normal intake. If you don't have caffeine on a regular basis, you will feel it. Otherwise, it may seem like any other product with caffeine in it.

Try a water diet for a week or two and then drink an entire energy drink within 45 minutes... you'll feel it.

If you don't "feel" it, monitor your heart rate. Your heart will beat at a faster pace than normal after drinking one.

I've always found energy drinks like mountain dew or relentless dont work. But others like Red Bull or Monster do work for me. Usually however i have to go through a number of red bulls before they effect me. But once i had a monster round my girlfriends at 11pm...couldnt get to sleep till 4am. I just want to run around outside naked singing. Weird.
I think someone spiked your drink dude

No energy drinks don't work for me, but placebos work great!

I honestly don't think they work. Sometimes I'll drink a Monster and it doesn't give me any more energy, all it does is hurt my teeth after awhile till the point where I can't chew anything.

They will kill you 😛 But I drink them all the time. Helps me do boring work faster.

My opinion is that they don't work as to give you energy in order to make you better in some work like studying or playing football etc. I use to drink them when i sleep and want to wake up after 1-2 hours with help of alarm.

yea they always work for me! but then I get a huge crash after it wears off. I don't have them much but when I do, it totally works.

Bananas also help for an energy source.

I'm a long-term sufferer of insomnia, so I often need a way to keep myself awake through the day in order to get things done. Energy drinks help immensely for this because the caffeine and other junk in them give me enough of a boost to make it through the day. It's not the healthiest thing in the world, but I'm forced to self-medicate with them as my doctor refuses to help me, lol

I do not know about others, but there are different types of energy drinks.

Although they all work to keep you going, some of them leave you feeling really awful and sometimes with a headache, while you are recovering and getting them off your system.

Energy drinks allow you to stay awake and focus for a few more hours, but afterwards your body needs longer time (more hours of sleep that is), to recover.

Plus, we do not know about any possible long term side effects that these high energy drinks may have.

To me it only helps for a bit but my heart starts racing when I drink it so I'd rather not, a good night of sleep is much better to be energetic the day after 🙂

Here's the thing, everyone is different, everyone's body is different. For me, they use to work. After drinking them for so long, I got accustomed to the taste and I drank them all the time. Now, they do absolutely nothing for me. But I still love the taste of them and I don't drink them as often. *Not trying to become a diabetic either.

For me energy drinks do not work. Drinks like Red Bull, 100 plus and etc are few examples. I feel more sleepy than energetic after consumption.

But... coffee works good!

yes they work, a friend of mine died of heart attack because he was drinkign too many red bulls. so watch out 😛

Wow Really?. 😱 I never drank a energy drink becuase there bad for you.

I had friends at University that always drank Red Bull, if he was anything to go by they definitely worked!

They're great at first.
Then you crash.
Then you randomly need to drink more to get the same effect that you experienced originally.

They definitely make me feel more alert and help when I have a ton of work to get done.
