Bounce rate my blog sites are high, so my question is Do long articles to reduce bounce rate? I think long articles can keep the readers stay longer on my blogs. Please share your advice.

In journalism, broadly, long form content is definitely making a comeback. Everyone thought when we started going digital in lieu of newspapers that we'd see a greater preference for shorter, easier to digest content. That is certainly true to some extent - sites like twitter are quite popular for publishing because people can read something and move in seconds. But at this point, longer posts/messages are also in demand within the circles that are interested in the subject.

As far as bounce rate goes, I'd say it's a fine line. Publishing longer content can potentially engage your readers more and keep them on your site, but if your content isn't interesting or quality enough, they may stop reading and not read any more than a shorter piece would be. I'd focus more on the quality of posts, regardless of the length, and you'll get your readers. If you have a lot of quality posts, it doesn't matter how long they are because your readers should want to keep reading and browsing around for more.

I personally still like longer type articles as long as they aren't like essay length and include some sort of graphics/pictures to break up long chunks of text. While people's attention span now a days are shorter and a lot of people are looking for fast, on the go content, I still think there is a place and value for longer pieces.

I guess in a way it could, but since bounce rate means the amount of people just leaving your site after the initial page they land on, it doesn't mean that the people wouldn't have found your site useful. For example Wikipedia has a massive bounce rate, as people search for something, they found it, read it and leave - it doesn't mean that the site would be bad, it just means that the visitor found what they were looking for.

On the flip side, if you just increase the length of the content for lengths sake, you might drive people off.
