Do monetary incentives make you stay active on forums?

Do monetary incentives make you stay active on forums? By this, I mean you can earn money on the forum, either through competitions, posting, raffles etc. Does this attract you to join?

Not really, I am pessimistic when it comes to those sorts of things so I figure I won't win the cash or they are scamming people.

Not so much to me. It's a nice bonus, but not enough to keep me around.

I like little fun competitions, however monetary prizes aren't a big deal to me - I usually don't join forums for that reasoning. Unless I feel like I have a big chance at winning.

It wouldn't be my sole reason to join but when forums add things like that they are a nice perk. Other factors in causing me to join weigh more heavily.

For contests/competitions I go in with the intention of not winning anything, but if I did win that would be nice too. I'm also wary of flaking/scams as well.
