I'm thinking of having my software take advantage of the GPU for accelerating image processing, maybe some video encoding, etc. but I'm curious about how many servers have GPUs at their disposal.

Gaming servers? Isn't web based but yet rather host game servers.

Most server-oriented CPUs (those used in highly parallel workloads) lack integrated graphics, and those that do have it are repackaged desktop processors.

That would cover the bulk of rackmounts and blades. You'd be looking specifically at GPGPU servers.

I don't think so. The one I have (lowend DO VPS) wouldn't work with VNC or whatever remote desktoping in Linux is called so idk

Depends mostly I don't think so but like I said, might be an gaming server just who knows
