I don't really have rule stating that you aren't allow to swear other then it's conman sense. But if forums and sites are family friendly then rather keep them low if not none at all. Anyway it keeps the forum respectful and friendly. If I join an forum that's full of swearing then it's of putting.
There is no need to swear in real life then don't swear online lol
I only censor extremely vulgar words, I allow swearing to an extent. Although, swearing is utterly useless as slang doesn't help promote any argument. Anything considered hateful towards another person is strictly prohibited. To be honest, I very rarely, if ever, see cuss words in posts around my community, FP, or most others. I believe the majority of serious forum go'ers are quite mature and above using such words.
People generally need to use common sense more than anything else, there isn't really a place for people to blast out swear words like crazy, but I'm not sure anyone would really hold it against them, if they do it occasionally out of frustration for something.
I've always allowed it because if I didn't, I'd be a hypocrite. I drop F-bombs very casually in person, and online if the environment is laid back. Swears are just spicy words, like sentence seasoning!
My grandma thinks that people who swear lack the vocabulary to use more appropriate words. But not me! I just like to cuss.
I don't really have a rule against it myself. I don't mind as long as its not every other word or if its used toward other members. Don't really have any issues with it either.
No. I don't. Because I have seen that once I start allowing everything liberal, things just go down from there. I treat my blogs and forums like business and I don't want beer bar type of trash talk.
Most sites that doesn't have an rule set for that but as it's public people and members know what the conman sense is anyway. Even at times recently seen members here on FP that swear... Crazy crazy...
