Though if we're bringing our religious beliefs into it I'd be referring to the Jinn - but that's not I'm on about here.

I'm more talking about those who believe in the spirits of the dead walking the earth.

I had this experience a couple of years back when I was living in a haunted condo. I never knew about it but found few things strange after a month. Things would automatically get moved from its place at night. I didn't believe it on the first instance, but suddenly I realized that something is not right. The chair would move behind my couch and the television was turned on right in the middle of the night. Sounds like a horror movie, but it actually happened right under my nose. I had the place checked by the nearest Church and found that the apartment was cursed by the previous owner.
