I had seen one site with a label that it is powered by a host provider with green hosting. When I inquired what green hosting is, I was surprised with the reply. Green hosting is about clean environment that the host provider doesn't use anything that is against the environment. In other words, the host provider uses clean energy only. I'm really confused or maybe I have to admit that green hosting looked weird to me. Or maybe it's just a joke?

get less and how would the performance be

I did have my own web hosting company at one point and it was Green friendly.

What we did was using the basic hardware but for ever purchase we would have planted a tree sapling in protected land.

We had got up to like 50 trees planted.

I think that they had a right answer for you!

Gee, that's the first time I've heard of planting a tree as a trade off for hosting. So it's like the green revolution that you have to repay your anti environment action by planting trees or caring for the forest. Pardon me but if the green-minded companies have that volition of reparation then maybe it is better if they will band together to establish a foundation for that purpose. A green foundation can definitely do better. Hey there, thanks for the information about green hosting.

I think it's a little more expensive than regular hosting, but not by that much. At least, that's normally the case, but I did see where a server from HostGator is around 80 dollars while one from GreenGeeks is 150.

I did have my very own internet hosting enterprise at one point and it changed into Green pleasant.

What we did was the use of the basic hardware however for ever purchase we would have planted a tree sapling in protected land.

We had were given up to like 50 trees planted.

Its a eco-friendly hosting, wherein the trees and plants are planted around the datacenters.

I can see why many see it as self-righteous - but is it really helping the environment - or just a gimmick?
