I am posting this thread because I heard on the radio about this topic. The moderator of a talk program said that most successful people believe in luck. That statement was intriguing to me. Does it mean we don’t need our talents and education? Maybe yes and maybe no. Come to think of it, yeah, take for instance entertainment, I have seen good singers who didn’t succeed. Even in careers, there are lucky guys who are CEO of big companies with no brains to speak of. Okay, maybe I have to believe in the role of luck in our life.
I do believe in luck, whether it's personal luck, financial luck, or any other sorts of luck there may be.
For instance, you may be walking along a path in the park and you continue on a few paces after noticing your loosened shoe lace and finally stop to tie it again and moments after you've gone by a tree one of the large branches cracks and falls on the path you were only just beneath. Had you stopped right then and there you could have been seriously injured or even killed!
I believe luck plays a fraction of your talents and success story. Yes talent and hard work is the foremost thing, but luck also adds up to the equation.
