Do you have a burn barrel in your back yard where you burn your own trash?

Why or why not?

I do have a burn barrel in my garden. I wouldn't say that I burn my trash as such but I do burn things such as wood that is difficult to get rid of and can not be put into general waste.

We don't have a burn barrel but a lot of neighbors do. Sometimes they burn things that they shouldn't and that's because chemicals really wreak havoc for breathing when they're burned.

We're not allowed to burn trash in my city, so no. We have a landfill that's unfortunately close to my work in Earth City Missouri that I get the unfortunate whiff of on different days throughout the week. :yuck:

Oh, that brought back memories, the mention of a landfill. When I commuted to Chicago, we passed a huge landfill and somedays that smell made me so sick to my stomach.

I live in a city currently so unfortunately not. However, I love burning boxes and wrapping paper at Christmas.

Used to have a burn barrel many years ago, until it was given to my next door neighbour.

Where I live, it is illegal to use a burn barrel for the purpose of burning trash.

Whenever I do a fire pit I'll throw some pieces of discarded boxes in there to get the fire going but I am not doing it for the purpose of trying to get rid of trash, I just want the fire in my fire pit to get started. 😛

For the most part it's illegal to burn household rubbish in the UK but I do have a huge log burner inside the house which is legal providing we only burn kiln-dried or well seasoned wood. It saves me around £2.5K a year.

Nope, We live in a seaside town and there are rules
