I’m in Michigan, USA & we call it pop. When I visited a penpal in Tennessee years ago, she had asked me if I wanted a Coke. But she offered Pepsi lol It was funny how they referred to “Coke” as generic.

Soda.

That's also a NY Thing. I think it's the worst thing imaginable, "Hey let me get a coke" *Hands coke* "No, I wanted a sprite, not a coke" ????? like why is that even a thing lol.

I grew up in the Midwest and it was always called pop. It was never anything else but where I live now it's called soda and I refuse to use that term. It's pop 😉

In the UK we call it lemonade and little ones usually call it fizzy. Coke and Pepsi are kind of separate items and are only referred to under their brand names.

I laugh when anyone says "pop" around here. I'd say soda when I'm talking about lots of different types of soda, but I'd say coke when referring to Coca-Cola/Pepsi/RC/etc.

Neither. Fizzy Drinks is what’s known as Soda or Pop. This is in England.

Pop!

I laugh at anyone who says "soda" especially people from Nashville.

I use both terms, based on who I am talking to. Most of the time though, I would either call it by "Soda", or by the brand name and/or specific flavor.

I call it either one. I moved around a lot when I was younger, so I got used to multiple terms for the same item.

Either or. It depends on how groggy I’m feeling at any given time when referencing carbonated beverages.

Soda since I moved to the USA, but when I lived in England I called them fizzy drinks, and would still do so when I go back to visit.

I want to know if such a mad lad exists that calls it "soda pop", because I know I've heard the term spoken before but it was when I was really young and I've never heard it said since. XD

Soda. I don't have issues with anybody saying Pop though. Never bothered me 🙂

When I lived down South, I would call it Pop. The when I move North, I call it Soda. I have been known, however, to as for a Soda Pop. Oh my, the looks I get.
