It's interesting to me how differently people view the word "nerd" and who qualifies as one. Do you consider yourself a nerd? Why or why not? 🙂
 
I'd say no. 😛 I'm sure a lot of people would call me one -- I'm a forum admin for pete's sake -- but I guess I don't really identify myself that way.
 
Maybe you should have a maybe option. Whilst I do spend a lot of time on the internet, I do also try to do other stuff outside it such as sports. Therefore maybe for me.
 
I'd say I am a nerd considering I've spent a good amount of my life on the computer over the years. However, when I go to work my coworkers probably would have never guessed that I'm a nerd. So, I guess I'm a secret nerd? 😛
 
Yes I am a nerd, I am happy to be one. I am great at computers, especially at reformatting stuff. I can reformat from Windows 8 to Windows 3.1 if I wanted to.
 
My vote has been cast. Prefer not to tell anyone, So Im not going to say what I voted for! 🙂
 
I voted no. I have my own reasoning now I'm not saying it should be applied to everyone but it makes senses for me. 🙂

I say I am not a nerd but I do consider myself a geek. In my opinion just in a general explanation of the words nerds vs geeks: a nerd is a person that knows a lot about a lot of things. A geek on the other hand is person that knows a lot about a lot of things but actually does something with the information. =)
 
I'd consider myself a nerd in the traditional sense. I love technology, focus a lot on my academics, and love to learn new things.
 
Well I'd say im more of a geek but not really a nerd, and i've heard to be a nerd you must be like... a collection of undesirable things lol. like ugly, wear glasses, have unusual teeth (?), and perhaps be a know it all type of guy xD.
 
I consider myself a nerd plus I get called one because I am great with computers and fixing them etc. and I love forums and I wear glasses. People around here automatically think you are a nerd if you wear glasses well I ws a nerd since I was 10 months old then xD

I find it hard to believe there are still people who consider those that wear glasses nerdy considering the fact that most people nowadays wear glasses.

Also, geeky is with computers, not nerdy. 😛 Nerdy is liking stuff like Star Wars.
