Do you delete banned accounts?

What’s everyone view on this? Do you delete banned accounts or just leave them banned?

I just leave them 🙂

Otherwise, they can join again with the same email and IP. By leaving them they stay ban unless they get another email address and VPN change.

It is better that you keep them. Because bots tend to use the same credentials again and again.

I don’t remove the banned accounts, better to keep the information on file than dumping it.

I keep them because an effort was made to register on my site by someone or something so it stays on my site.

There's really no point in deleting the account unless it was a spam bot posting weird stuff then otherwise, sure go right ahead.

I leave them since their discussions may have been beneficial, and it also makes sure that they can’t register again since it’s tied to an already used email address (easier to handle than manually preventing them from registering by blocking their email address in the ACP).

I had a few former friends that got really toxic and spammed my site and I don’t want any further contact with them due to other things I’ve cut ties so was on the fence but I guess having an account set as banned is the better option.

from the start they did have a few decent posts.

I never display the ban status publicly.

On Xenforo you can’t 🙁
But you can ban their email from signing up.

I decided to start cleaning out the really old ones, not sure if they counted towards member count but I was trying to trim things to look better.

The good thing with Xenforo they don’t count against the member count which makes sense since they’re gonna be inactive members.

Not really. Makes it cool seeing numbers high and not low then again, I do not really know.

then again I did have 27 but now I'm down to 25.

Just 2 friendships ended and they ended in a terrible way, One of them broke my terms by spamming the site.
