For personal notes, I do but I also have my own way. My mind always spun faster than the words could come out so I devised my own shorthand. Pretty much removing most vowels & doing i.e. 'g for 'ing' words. Typing I can go faster & my handwriting doesn't get sloppy as I go so it's easier to not have to do shorthand.
