Do you have the multi quote enabled for your forum, so you can quote multiple posts at once or do you not see a real need for it? Maybe you haven't thought to add it?
I don't use it much as I don't see it at that many forums but I find it quite useful when replying to alot of threads, interview threads come to mind when you have been asked a few questions at once.
It's an already existing feature for my IPB forum, though I do limit it to 20 quotes per post, and embedded quotes (quotes within quotes) are disabled.
It adds context to posts. People might be replying to different things, so just quoting the person who quoted you doesn't have the same flow of reading and context as you quoting yourself and the person who quoted you.
I do have a limit to it; however, yes, I do allow multi quotes on my forum. It really does prove to be effective in long arguments or topics when more than one person agrees with another's post.
