Do you get money by selling forum advertisement?
 
I make money by selling advertising on my forum if thats what you mean....
 
Some adversting sites work while others don't I used be on velxo hosting and they used google ads and that is not nearly engough to cover the host costs.
 
Never did, but I never held a forum for long enough to be able to.

But if you take DigitalPoint as an example. Massive member base, huge statistics (daily and monthly) and advertising actually has a few years of a queue.

So it's definitely possible.
 
i didnt get a buyer yet . it can take a lot of money from advertisment.
 
I earned 40 dollars this year for selling two textlinks on my websites. I earn more from Adsense.
 
I make a few sales each month on my new forum, which is amazing. I don't even need to try and I got sales.
 
I've made a few sales on my forum, not a lot though but still something.

Yes, we sell ads, so we get "money" from doing so, but also; various other ways as well.
 
I had made a couple hundred dollars from 1 person wanting to advertise on The Moral Liberal, and from google adsense.
 
You just need the stats, right niche for the right buyer, a decent place to find a buyer (DP is not bad for ad sales), etc. no one is going to buy ad space from a dead forum which will not increase their own site's traffic.
