Do you get offended by criticism of your site? Even if it's true?

So long as they are constructive around the feedback. I've had people on forums I've run in the past call it ugly without any clear feedback.

At least with constructive feedback I can try to make the forum better for everyone.

I don’t mind constructive criticism at all. It bothers me when someone doesn’t do their due diligence and just starts bashing for no reason.

If it's constructive criticism, I won't be bothered by it. After all the person is taking time to help improve my site! Now if the person is being disrespectful and won't explain why they say negative things about my site, I wouldn't be too happy about it. I wouldn't be too offended however, I would ask them what they don't like about my site. If they keep saying things that aren't constructive, I'll just ignore them.

If it's genuine feedback, then it could make the forum better if you implement it.

If it's a troll, then ignore the troll and takeaway their voice on the forum.

I've had a user or two post their negative views about my forum at one point. I remember one person posted their criticism on a blog. I was deeply offended at the time and even counter-attacked them with my own opinion. But this was in my teenage years, when everything offended me. Nowadays, if someone were to criticise my site, I would either see it as room for improvement or disregard their opinion.

Constructive criticism in my view is more desirable than being told you are doing a good job so I welcome it.

It depends if their trying to be rude. I accept all feedback, even the negative. I am pretty good at ignoring haters, if need be.

If it's constructive criticism, I can handle that. Especially if I asked for someone to review my site.

But if you're just being ugly, then absolutely not.

Every criticism is a feedback, even if I don’t like the tone it was conveyed. I will filter out what I need and just discard the rest, I don’t let peoples choice of words online get to me.
