Organic food is getting to be popular among the seniors maybe because they are conscious of their health. But come to think of it, what really is organic? Based on what I gathered, organic food items are those that were grown without any synthetic food or chemicals. The plants did not experience chemical fertilizers and pesticides. For animals, they were fed with natural food like grass and grains. And how do we know if the food in the supermarket shelf is really organic?

The only way to know for sure if something is actually organic is to grow it yourself, so I'm not really interested in paying inflated prices for things that may or may not actually be organic.

Always had it. Just that I'm used to having it now LOL

growing it as fresh from your gardens, Then you taste the difference

I did not use to go for organic, but our local grocery store started lowering the prices and making it more reasonable to purchase. So if it's affordable I buy organic. Although, if I'm being honest, I don't really notice a difference in the taste.

I always buy organic everytime I can. Well, I should say that there isnt much of a taste difference, but you'll see the difference if you take a fruit locally grown (organic) and non organic outside the refrigerator for two days. By the end of two days, the organic one will still stay fresh and the other one will rot.

* * I did not know that. I always keep my fruits and veggies in the fridge. Now I get the difference.

I would but there isn't many organic shops around here and the ones that are here sell their products ridiculously expensive.
