I try to get at least 25 posts/day and 1000 posts a month, but it can't always be done. Do you have any post goals for your forum?

I try to get 100 posts a day total, and ill lend a hand on slow days. Its still a new forum, not even a month old, so 100 posts a day constant rate cant be bad eh?

Right now, I want to be on my feet with my new advertising forum by 2009...

It seems a little hard tho. I don't think people are attracted to new forums. Just matured ones...

I like to get at least 2 new members each week and a minimum of 100 posts a day. Doesn't always work though. Sometimes we have good days, others are rediculously slow.

Around 500 posts a day but due to the time of year we are in, that is quite difficult on my forum.

My goal is to get 'x' amount of unique visits to my site every day, although like Cloverfield said it's that time of year so people don't want to buy websites at the moment ~cry~

100 Uniques a day would be lovely ~smile~

And those of us who cant get that? Lol, if only I had that traffic. For the rest of us its getting every guest we can to join.

Seems all internet traffic goes down this time of year, most people are logging off for family trips and such.

But it's easier to get people to sign up for a forum, than buy a website. Yeah, but you know a Christmas gift of a professional website from PixelRaider isn't that bad of a gift -happy-

I try for 100 posts a day and 2000 posts a month. I usually get them, but it doesn't really bother me if I get 70 posts in a day (although 2000 posts a month would kinda bother me).

Yeah, traffic isn't a problem, I get around 1,000+ uniques a day...it's just getting the guests to join that is the hard part about forum running.

I had a goal to reach 100k before the new year that happened 3 weeks before the new year! Woot!

Keep dreaming ~lol~

I try to make monthly goals on my forum usually it's something like 500 posts or sometime less. I make the goals according to the amount of activity.

Same here. Its been almost a month since my forum has opened, and were getting 100 a day average. If the activity drops a day, we make it up the next. For example, Mondays get few posts because everyone is tired from school and what not. By Friday everyone is awake and they attack the site, sometimes getting 250 in a day...

Settings goals is a great idea, but IMO its better to set them monthly, or weekly than daily.

The targets i usually have are really long term ones like in terms of months... I find doing targets over the course of days pointless as activity can very massively between days like thursdays you could barely get 100 posts but on fridays you could get 400 posts so it is hard to get a posting target unless you have a different target every day of every week of every month.

I know some people have daily golas though, like 100 on monday, 800 on friday and such. You can usually tell if you pay attention for a week which days mor epeople are online and post certain amounts depending on the day. Id still find it pointless to set up a system like this, just aim for 5,000 a month or something -razz-

Sometimes days vary between weeks such as one weekend can be quite quiet and the next busy... It depends on the time of year, weather (people are less likely to go out if it is snowing/cold/wet so will come online) and also depending if it is near christmas/Easter or something big on tv can harm activity.

I think i might be thinking a bit to deep into this -lol-

Thinking to deep? Nah. Im sure companies pay million of dollars to know which days people visit their sites. I bet Microsoft knows -😉-
