I work from home and am thankful that I do not have to commute to work. I have seen just how busy it is when everyone is heading into work and that is not the kind of environment I would be happy with at all.
Driving in Nashville can be very aggravating. I can get to my work within 30 minutes typically, but a wreck or something happens every so often and ruins that. Took me over two hours to get home from work a few days ago.
My commute takes me all the way from my kitchen to a short walk down the hall and into my studio. I occasionally stop by the front door to pick up the mail which adds a couple more seconds but most days I'm sitting at my desk ready to go within 20 seconds 😎
My partner on the other hand used to have a 2hr 45min commute each way on public transport which wasn't so cool 🙁
No more than about 5 minutes, depending on how many stop lights I hit. If I'm lucky to get both green lights, about 5 minutes. A couple extra if one or both of the lights is red.
Used to be about 30-45 minutes, longer if the bridge was open (and it always opened at the most inconvenient times), so I'm thankful that I live much closer and the worst I have to deal with is two red lights if I'm unlucky lol.
