At the moment, I do have a support/suggestions category. I have one because I fell it is very important for members to raise any problems they may have or suggest ideas to the administrative team that could improve the forum.

I always have this. It's really important so members can tell you what they like and dislike and what else they would like to see on the forum.

If you didn't have this, the members might be unhappy because they might think you aren't open to suggestions and you won't change anything to make the users more happy and I think that is one thing that will run members away.

I have this as well. It allows you to help members with certain things a lot of things and it is good that the rest of the community can see the problem and know how to fix it (in case a member runs into that same problem in the future). Of course, PM is still available for those problems that are a more private matter.

I have a "Feedback & Support" area where members can report issues, ask for support, make feature requests and provide feedback. It's always important to have something like that, especially on a forum community.

Yes yes yes yes.

However I do find that members usually don't voice their opinions a ton unless they are opinionated, I've found that out. I think many people prefer to message the admins rather than creating a thread, so I have both options up for members.

I think every serious forum has one of these. 😛 Even if the section isn't very active, it's good to have. I'd rather hear what my members want changed than not.

It's a must-have section for any forum. It's nice to know members are able to point out any issues/bugs, along with any interesting ideas that may have. Then the appropiate action can be taken by the admin team if required. 😀

And yes, it does exist, the section, I mean. 😛

I think its fortunate to have a section to leave a comment rather than send messages.

Yes, I have a thread for that since sometimes users give great suggestions 🙂

Something like this should be obligatory. Forums are communities so the community's input should be valued.
