Personally I post on my forum as often as possible but I go out of my way to make at least 5 posts every day. Most days I can post more but that is the minimum that I do. I try to make those 5 posts count by targeting boards with recent activities are time/date stamped beyond 24 hours. I think first impressions are important so when new visitors log on to the forum I like the thought of giving them an impression that all the boards are active. I feel doing this regularly also keeps the overall activity flowing.

I don't have a posting routine. I used to make 10 posts daily but my forum is completely dead. 😛

I don't have a posting routine on my forum. I would post more when I have time and less when I am busy so I don't really schedule it. Sometimes, I would make like 50 posts a day while some other times, I would make 2-3 posts per day. It highly depends on my availability although I try my best to make a good amount of posts every week.

I don't have anything "set in stone", per say. I generally try to make as many posts as I feel comfortable making every week. If I haven't been posting enough lately, I'll post more. It's not a very complicated thing, in my opinion. 😛

Hey all the more reason to keep posting at least 10 posts a day right? 😉

Yes availability is a huge factor for sure. I know when I'm busy with life my online life tends to take a dip - it's difficult to keep an even balance so doing what we can when we can is key.

lol no it's not complicated. 😉 Sometimes though in my opinion, we need to set a minimum for ourselves otherwise it's too easy to say eh, I didn't post anything today I will just post tomorrow and next thing you know you could be gone for days at a time.

I do actually; I first post in the Announcements board/Suggestions and Feedback boards (if there are new posts). I then go to the intro board and welcome new members, and then I move on to the general boards just randomly. I tend to go in from the first board down to the last in order, I sometimes differ from that but my posting routine is basically the boards order.

Come to think of it, that is what I do as well here in Forum Promotion. It's just easier for me to keep up with most of the topics. lol Sometimes when I log on I will change it up and work from bottom to top. Private Messages are priority though. 😉

Yes, it's called 'post at least a certain amount every day'. With that amount being between 5 and 20 posts or so.

I reply to post's, make a new thread here or there. No real routine, I just hope that people will make post's that I can reply to.

Yeah you're right @Sharon! I guess I need to become more active. If people don't think the owner is active, they probably won't join. 😛

I try to post at least a handful per day, although it really depends on how active the rest of the community is. I've come to accept the fact that it's more on some members being shy than there not being enough content in a day's time.

No routine. I just try to post replies daily, and if there is nothing new to respond to I will either bump an old topic so new members see it or post some new threads around the on-topic boards.

Yeah that's true, but if I see that the most recent reply in each section is from one user, I won't sign up either. Admins have to be careful of overpopulating their forum with their own content. It doesn't look good to new visitors.
