Do You Keep a Diary or Journal?

I do, I do. I think it's vital. Not in a sense that it's a must to be normal or anything, but I feel it is vital as a glue to our life. With days passing by one after another, a way to store memories of them to look back on years in the future is wonderful. To be able to recall each success and each fail, each experience in our life, especially if a once in a life time one, is something we can't nor shouldn't leave to chance for remembering. We can use them to make art and stories of our lives and define who we were and are. To reflect upon the past and see how far we've come. Yes, that is something I treasure the thought of being able to do.

Interesting point of view. I have never thought of it that way.

Same goes with the idea of dream journal. 😀

I used to have diaries for my life, once in form of book in real life, and once in form of a blog. It was quite fun while it lasted; I had a place to complain and just write whatever I feel, and with blog I even had friends to reply and who gave me advice with the situations. Eventually as I grew up and getting busier it was too troublesome to make an entry there so I decided to stop. I think diaries are good mediums to help convey your feelings, although with sensitive content it would've been good if we can make sure nobody will find our secrets. XD And also for reasons said above!

With me, depending on how much time I have to write, I will either use a pen or pencil and take my time, or I will use the computer to write an entry that I can print off.

I just love to write my views on spirituality and god himself. I keep journal for his presence in my life and how it affects me.

I have a few really good friends that I can talk with about almost anything. So, I talk to them if something comes up, rather than blogging or journaling about the issue.

No, Not even a paragraph, i wouldn't share private thoughts with others.

-- May 2nd, 2014, 9:53 am --

No, Not even a paragraph, i wouldn't share private thoughts with others.

I have been working on a piece for my website called That Sammy Kid, which is basically a compilation of journal or diary entries, except that there's some over-dramatics as well.
