Do you keep the same username on each forum?

Yes. I see no reason to change it. If you keep the same username, you never know, you might run into someone you recognize. I have.

I usually try to stick to "Kaynil", I like people recognizing me, seeing old friends feels so good. I have registered in the past with different usernames but I usually end up asking them to change it to the usual username.

Currently I am "young Link" in some Nintendo Forum, and some friends from a FF forum used to know me as "Rinku", but I think that is about it.

This is the same reason why I try to stick to my actual first name as my username. Sure, people know me on various forums anyhow, like from my posting and stuff, but it's just nice to have that little similarity trait extend to the name as well. Then it's not so confusing.

There is no wrong or right answer as some like to be known on all forums and that is why they stick to the same username others like to keep forums seperate. For example if you cock up on one forum, your name becomes mud on a bunch of others, however if you have different names if you make a mistake on one but have various usernames you can keep the rep you built on them and learn from your mistakes.

I typically use the same username on every forum I join. I used to go by Ravenisawesome here and on a few forums, but decided to go by Ravenfreak when I joined Sonic Retro in 2008, not sure why I went with my Titansgo.net username when I first joined this forum in 2012 though. Sometimes I'm known as TheRavenfreak as well.

I've used the same username since the dawn of the Internet. Although it disassociates me from my real identity I do believe in taking responsibility for anything I put online and a consistent username helps with that. It stops me acting like a dick

I kept the same username for many years. Eventually moved on to using different variations of my name. Cam is what I prefer, but that isn't available typically.

Yes I prefer to stick to the same username on those forums where someone has hired me for posting. I don't think I need to change it.

It depends.

If I want to carry on my brand, I'll use a common username attached to that brand. (Shawn Gossman, Hiking with Shawn, etc.)

If I just want to join and not promote a brand, then I try to use 'Shawn' or 'HikerShawn' if Shawn is taken.

If I join forums that have to do with my occupation (surveillance and intelligence), I use an alias that isn't going to be able to be tracked back to me. 😉

Joining forums means I have the flexibility to change usernames as I wish. For this particular reason, I don't stick to one username per forum. There are forums where my name is Zani while in others, I answer Naza. I have kept with the flow depending on what I wish to do at a particular point in time.
