Do you kills house Spiders that crawl around your house? If so, why?

I try not to kill them, only their webs and the big daddy longlegs. I see Spiders as great companions to have in my bedroom as they kill off all the flies etc.

You do realize the average human being swallows 3-4 spiders a year or something. Happens when you're sleep. 😉

They like to crawl down very dark places, and your esophagus is very inviting to spiders.

This is actually a fact.

But, i agree. Some are useful in attracting, and killing certain household insects.

It is a fact, it is on average you eat 3-5 a year or something.

I don't like them at all. I usually spray them with the windex cleaner I keep by my computer 😛

I think that's a load of rubbish, I can't see that being true, I mean I look round my room no spiders, so whats going to happen, they are going to hide away until i sleep then make the long trip accross my room to get to me??

Plus where are you grabbing this real fact from?

haha never!

Well to ease your mind here you are 🙂

* No, this is an urban legend. Created to show that people will believe anything--and then going on to be believed. The following is from the urban legend debunking site www.snopes.com Claim: The average person swallows eight spiders per year. Status: False. Origins: Fear not. This "statistic" was not only made up out of whole cloth, it was invented as an example of the absurd things people will believe simply because they come across them on the Internet. In a 1993 PC Professional article, columnist Lisa Holst wrote about the ubiquitous lists of "facts" that were circulating via e-mail and how readily they were accepted as truthful by gullible recipients. To demonstrate her point, Holst offered her own made-up list of equally ridiculous "facts," among which was the statistic cited above about the average person's swallowing eight spiders per year, which she took from a collection of common misbeliefs printed in a 1954 book on insect folklore. In a delicious irony, Holst's propagation of this false "fact" has spurred it into becoming one of the most widely-circulated bits of misinformation to be found on the Internet.

* This rumour was started in 1993 by Lisa Holst, a columnist for a computing magazine. The article focused on the increasingly common lists of "facts" which had begin to circulate on the internet in the early 1990s. To illustrate her point Holst made up her own list of supposed "facts", one of which was the claim that the average person swallows up to eight spiders per year. In this particular instance Holst apparently took her inspiration from collection of common misbeliefs printed in a 1954 book on insect folklore. It is, of course, wonderfully ironic that Holst's "false fact" has since become one of the most widely spread myths on the internet.

I dont kill them, I hate them, but cant kill them, For they are 'weavers of the web'

Ohh and my band mate told me something today that was rather rank!

He'd been out for the night, come back and there was half a cocktail drink leftover for before he went out. He decided to drink the rest of it before going to bed.

Whilst he was drinking (through a straw) he saw 2 black balls appear in the bottom (now any normal person would have stopped drinking and looked at what it was, but he decided to keep drinking)
He drank abit more then the thing appeared... A spider! in the bottom of the glass!! Dead obviously

I would never kill my friends, lol.

Seriously though. I let them be, there more usefull if there alive and killing other bugs.

I rarely kill spiders. I might flick them off or remove them from my room but I try to avoid killing them.

I kill them, because I don't usually know which ones are poisonous, and which ones are not, because there are a lot of poisonous ones where I live.

Small spiders i just hit with a shoe but bigger ones i have to hoover up as i can't stand them. No spider lives near me. If it does, it doesn't live for long 😉

I would never kill a spider ever ever ever ...........

If you want to Live and Thrive
Let a Spider Run Alive !

Totally depends on the situation, if it is small then i'll help it get outside, but if its large then i get the heaviest book nearby and kill it, i hate spiders with a passion, although i hate killing things, i would seriously freak out knowing that was in the house alive.

They are horrible creatures in my opinion *shivers*

I couldn't sleep knowing there is a spider in the room.

The same for me, but any type of weird bug that I see either by my bed, or in my room I can't sleep as well.

Don't get me wrong I don't like them - I am scared of them but I would never kill one - I hate the ones in Spain that jump - they nip badly!
