Do you leave your computer on overnight?

I normally do. It cools so well that it's actually better for me to leave it on and let it cool itself than to turn it off.

Plus, I just pick up where I left off the day before! Sometimes I'll just put it to sleep.

Mhm. Mine is on all the time. I find it much better to leave it on than to turn it off...

I usually turn off my pc at night but when it's up for some downloading or rendering or I fall asleep unknowingly then it remains on all night.

I always turn my PC off, start up time is a few seconds, so that's of no concern.

I tend to leave my computer on for random reasons. Specially the ones that the motherboards lack a means of sleep mode. I dislike to be working on something long and lose my spot. Then have to scan tons of lines following the bread crumbs per se to get back to what I was working on. Not to mention uploading files during my downtime is a plus.

I off my computer before going to bed as their is a lot of load shedding in my city. So, there is a danger of break down due to low voltage.

I always turn off my computer before go to bed. When I downloading the games and movie only then I leave it. I don't like wastage of electricity.

I turn the computer off overnight. Doesn't take much long to turn it on anyway.

it's easy to turn A computer on and with Windows 7 especially 8 the boot up and 70% faster then previous Windows.

I never leave my computer on at night
I probally will only do so when hosting minecraft server or downloading huge files

I hate to turn off my laptopt, it take minutes to start up, I always turn it in sleep mode and when I need it, I just press ON-OFF Button.
If I let it on overnight, probably I download large files from torrents.

I used to use Hibernate mode in Windows Vista, and 7, and it seems to make Vista-7 start up a lot faster.

But, since I now use Windows 8.1 which boots up in 30-50 seconds even on a older 7200RPM 320GB mechanical hard drive, I just shutdown my computer instead of hibernating it.

I also own a Google Chromebook with a 16GB SSD drive, and it starts up in under 8 seconds, so I just shut it down to save battery life, and rarely use sleepmode since the bootup times are so fast.

Usually only if I am rendering/uploading. HUGE power hog to leave it on though.
