Do you like rap and/or hip-hop?

Personally, I like a few artists. My favorite is Odd Future.

I like some rap music especially those that make a lot of sense. I recently tried to listen to Metta World Peace and see if Ron Artest really made sense. I think at some point but it’s hard to take it seriously knowing how the person was. It’s just like that for some of the artists in the rap scene.

I like alternative rappers in general though – Also listen to a lot of Matisyahu.

Rage Against the Machine is not rap. Neither is Limp Biscuit.

I like a few rap artists such as Tupac Shakur and Wu Tang Clan.

Let's not start a race discussion that is bound to get more people banned. 😉

You're going to make an accusation like that against us simply because we stated that we dislike a genre of music?

I just Google'd him. He doesn't seem bad at all, and I'm usually against rap.

He wasn't a bad rapper. Him and the Notorious B.I.G. were the best rappers of the 90's.

I like some rap,but none of the current bullcrap like Lil' wayne ...

I prefer rappers and rap groups like Tech n9ne, KottonMouth Kings, Tag Team, 2Pac, Twista, Eminem, Wu Tang Clan,etc...

I like Rap, from 80's, 90's and very early 2000's. I like the artists who have something to say, and a story to tell, and a positive or intellectual message as opposed to "look at how much money I have" , "how big my d--k is," "how many b-tches I got," "how 'gangsta' I am," etc. etc.

I can tolerate some of the stuff that is out today, but I will always love Biggie, Tupac, Foxy Brown, Kanye West (though his narcissism annoys me) DMX (sometimes, though his songs get you amped), Wu Tang, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Eminem, Sugarhill Gang, Whodini, Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Left Eye (R.I.P) and others from their time. Bel Biv Devoe, Black Sheep, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Salt-n-Pepa and Afrika Bambaataa deserve an honorable mention, even though they are technically hip hop.. I like a lot of other Rap and Hip Hop groups but I will stop here for now..

It is a shame to see what Rap has evolved into now, and that those who are ignorant of this genre, really don't see the difference between today's rap and the Rap before it. People will look at Eminem, and say that he is trying to be something he's not.

They'll look at Tupac and see a criminal and thug who was against the cops in his message, rather than someone who saw and dealt with the corruption from the LAPD, and the struggles he dealt with, and the things that were wrong with the world and spoke up about it, and they will look at Biggie and see a morbidly obese guy who talked about how much money he had, rather than his journey to the top and where he came from. It is a shame that the East Coast-West Coast b.s. cut both of their lives and careers short.. perhaps if they were still around then Rap wouldn't be the mess it is today.

I think my favorite rap songs of all is Changes by Tupac, Triumph by WuTang Clan, Victory - P. Diddy, Biggie, Busta Bhymes, Judgment Day - Methodman, Da Rockwilder - Methodman and Redman, No Church In The Wild and Niggas In Paris - Jay-Z and Kanye West and Crossroads by Bone Thugs N Harmony. I've more, but I'm stopping here..

Forgot to mention, I really like Underground Rapping. I like Eminem, but the underground rappers that I like are Immortal Technique and Diabolic.

So no one here like Boogie Down Productions/KRS-One, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Just-Ice, or Public Enemy? They're all classics.

I usually down like it because it's usually just a fast-talking rapper who says random words and puts them in a sentences as long as it rhymes, then it's most likely a rap song. That's how I hear it, but some people may think differently. :/
