Do You Like Your Current Residence?

It's ok, but while it is Southern California, it does get old after a while, especially the weather. Summer for the past 18 years is a bit much. I plan to be moving to my own place in Seattle, Washington next year where I plan to launch my career in game design. I love the area and the fact that they actually get seasons is appealing to me.

I spent some time travelling and for the last few years have been back living in my home town. My preference would be to stay here and remain close to family and friends. Unfortunately the weather is terrible and my home town has been badly hit by the recession, but I still love it.

Are you currently studying game design Tucker?

No. England is boring. I won't even comment on the state of the government.

It's alright. A bit far to travel around, but at least there are bus and train services close by.

I'm developing games in the independently at the moment to build up my portfolio and experience.
Thankfully I'm friends with one of the guys who would be hiring me at my dream job in Seattle with Bungie. I've even helped with some of the visual effects work for Halo 3 and Reach through him, so hopefully that's the foot in the door I need.
If it doesn't pan out in the short term, I'll get there eventually. I can work my way up with other companies in the area.

Yeah except for the cockroaches but those are everywhere around central florida. Neighbors are alright though so I mean no problem for next the year or so I'll be living here.

Eh, our area is one of the most boring places in the country (that I've lived in anyway...). We barely have anything here; we're kind of a small town. The biggest store we have is Wal-Mart; no malls or anything. Mostly all we have are fast food restaurants around, a bowling alley, some sports fields, and that's really it. My mother always referred to our area as a "hick town," lol.

It's definitely not a fun place to be. There's literally nothing to do where I am. Most of the people around my age just go up to the local Wal-Mart and hang out there because there are no malls or anything like that.

Man, I haven't been too a mall in years... I'd love to go to one again.

It also doesn't help that we've had so many neighbors within the nearly thirteen years that we've lived here so far. Out of all the neighbors we've had (coming in and out of the same house next door, to boot) we've only had about three really good neighbors. The others always just caused commotion; partied late at night and disturbed our sleep; got drunk and caused fights, etc. In fact, we've had so many bad neighbors that each time a new neighbor starts moving in my family and I start saying things like "I wonder what these ones will be like now."

What do you do in your spare time PowerFeud? From reading your post the first thing that comes to mind is that you should get yourself a bike, cycle round your town and outside it. Or perhaps a BMX and learn to do tricks. I really don't know why a bike comes to mind when I read your post, maybe there is something about your post that reminds me of how Lance Armstrong describes his youth in his biographies.

Now that it's cooling off and it's not so hot up here, dorm life isn't so bad, so yeah, I'd say I do like it. Best part is I'm on my own finally. 😀

Hmmm...do schoolwork, eat, do some graphic design, go on the graphics forums I've joined, sleep... That's pretty much my life. Oh, and gaming from time to time as well.

Sure, I like it here, I suppose. I've lived all my life here (in South Carolina). The summers can be brutal but it's what I'm used to so yeah. 😛

I don't mind my current residence. There's a lot of things to do around here and I honestly can't see myself living anywhere else. I am planning on moving to a different house soon, but still relatively same location.

I like where I am right now but I'll probably move to another island where people are more friendly as they said. The next island is almost remote and there are also great white sand beaches. 😀

I live in a 2 bedroom duplex. Its alright most of the time but I live next to a busy street & I have a common wall with my neighbor. Sometimes the noise level from the traffic and/or my neighbor get on my nerves, but the noise is not a constant issue, so I can live with it. I am not too far away from work & there is lots of stores within walking distance. There is 2 nice parks within walking distance that my kid and dog enjoy visiting.

I like my current residence. My housemates are all nice and friendly, and the community is great.

Only problem is that it's a much smaller city than I am used to and there isn't much to do in comparison. It's like it shuts down after evening.
