For the past 10 years or so, I have never locked my doors to my home. Frankly, I don't think any of my neighbours do either. I suppose this is what it's like living in a friendly Canadian town.

Got me thinking what it's like everywhere else.

Always closed and overnight with a small security belt, which will make alot of noise if someone really would want to get in.

People 3 streets down the hill got robbed while not being at home for like 2 hours.

Yes, I always lock our doors even the backdoor. Just cannot trust people these days 🙁

Yes I always lock the doors in case something happens. You never know what might happen.

Narr, I never lock my door 😛 I love to have an sexy girl trying to rob my home..

I always lock my doors. Too many break ins not to lock them.

We lock our doors. We live near too many people that tends to steal if they think you have something valuable that they want.

I always do. Especially since about a year and a half ago when someone dumped a dead person off into a ditch about a 2 blocks from my house. What's even worse is I live about 3 blocks away from a school.....

I live in a small housing colony. There are 6 houses and a reaidential building. Despite having security staff in our colony, I lock the doors at all times because we never know what will happen.

I live in a close knit/friendly neighbourhood too but still always lock my doors. There have never been any break ins or other issues while I've lived where I'm at but it's a good safety precaution.

Always lock my doors even though I live in a village people still have had break ins
even lock my doors when I am awake

When I was living with my mum, everything was locked up when we were away/asleep.

Right now, I live in an apartment and to be fair, we only pull the door into it's lock and don't use a key to lock it but it's not some door you can open from the outside except with a key so we don't feel the need to lock it. If people wanne get in, they'll get in and they'll leave marks on the door to show it was a break in. If you leave your door open then there's nothing to prove it was a break in. However, I wouldn't know why people would break in to our apartment if the dentist who has a cash register is right below us and there's rich people next to us (with no alarms).
