Do you mow during the summer?

During the summer season, do you get out and mow lawns?

I don't mow at all. I don't have a lawn at my apartment, so no worries about that for me. 🙂

I used to mow when we lived in a house, but I don’t anymore since we moved to an apartment.

As little as possible whilst still keeping the lawn reasonably tidy and tamed.

We have someone on our street who will do the entire street's front yards. He's a very nice older gentleman who's been doing it since before we moved in 2 years ago, and he doesn't expect payment for it either. My mom will usually handle trimming the backyard, and she'll sometimes do the front a little bit too if it's starting to get a little long before the person who usually does it comes around.

Yeah, we do end up going out more doing things, but the last couple of years with the cost of living it's hard

I hate mowing during the summer but I try to typically mow my lawn every two weeks. If we get a lot of rain then I may mow it sooner, however, every two weeks is usually a safe bet. I don't like my yard to look messy or unkept. I guess that comes with older age.

I have a back garden and a front garden, both of which have grass. My front garden never used to have grass but we had kids one summer who picked up some grass that had been cut and threw it all over my front garden causing grass to grow.

I now tend to mow both my front and back gardens and at the moment I am trying to keep my front garden cut low so that when I have everything together, I can instead cover it and add stones to it as then it will be easier to maintain.

I use to do the mowing when my husband was on 2nd shift. Now, he's hired someone else to do the mowing for us.

I get paid to mow a few lawns. That's all I do. It's just a side hustle.

In the past, I had to mow my mom's large yard out in a rural area.

I mean, yes but also no I have a hard time prioritizing my yard as needing to be mowed. If it was my yard I'd be seeking alternatives to grass 🙂

We have to mow or else the HOA will get on to us. My brother does most of the mowing in the household, but we all pitch in from time to time.
