Do you prefer using cash or card to buy things? Why?

I prefer cash because you don't need to type in your pin etc but with contactless payments, using card becomes easier for smaller payments. However at the same time there is security issues with contactless payments so I still prefer cash over card.

It depends on what I need it for, honestly. But generally speaking, I prefer cash, but don't always bring it with me.

I definitely prefer using a card to pay. Cash is a hassle.

Cash is just dangerous to carry around. If your wallet is stolen, so is the cash. At least with a card you can call the bank and they can revoke any purchases made, or the card itself. I never carry cash, whenever I get it I'll deposit it. Even if it's $5.

I prefer a card, I don't have to use a pin usually either so it's not much of a hassle for me. 🙂 Plus my wallet doesn't get too full. xD

What if the shop only accepts cash?

I'll hit the ATM and pull out some money, though usually I probably won't shop there if they don't accept a card. 😛

I can't think of anywhere that doesn't accept either debit or credit. I think pretty much everywhere has to accept cards now, or they'd lose a lot of business.

I actually prefer to use cash, that way I know exactly what I'm spending and exactly how much money I have left. It's easy to spend more money when paying with debit. I don't like to keep more than $50 on me though for the reasons Thomas said, so for bigger things I have to use a card.

Well problem for me is with being with a credit union I'm charged $0.25 cents each time I use my card online or offline. So for me I try to get as much cash out of my bank account as I can whenever I get paid anything.

Get a credit card with them.

Bad credit or no credit history? Because while you can't usually get a loan with no credit, you can still get a basic credit card.

I'm on a bankruptcy at the moment.

I usually pay with a credit card, as opposed to my debit card. Mostly because if a credit card number is stolen, you're more likely to get the money back than if a debit card number is stolen. If your cash is stolen, your chance to get it back is pretty much zero. 😛

I usually save my cash for vending machines.

I normally use cash for most things that are under $100. If I'm spending more than that, I use a credit card.

I rather us cash for most buying things around here, but since I do online allot I use card though PayPal

Once a month I go to the ATM and withdraw $100. However, I tend to treat cash like play money and not really pay attention to what I'm spending most of it on. lol

Most of my purchases are made via credit card because I get perks for using them.
