I have both as well but prefer my desktop. I like the larger screen, more processor power and full ergonomic keyboard and mouse. For me a laptop is good for on the go, traveling, recreational stuff e.g movies, Youtube, etc.
I have both. I honestly pretty rarely use my desktop unless I want to run multiple screens which I normally only do when I'm working. My laptop works great for most anything I need.
I have two laptops and one custom desktop. Since I like my gaming laptop I still rather go with an desktop since there are more power and way better screens and whatnot. So it's the desktop
I have a newer laptop and an old desktop that just collects dust right now. I might rip out the hard drive and throw that sucker away one of these days.
I think that if just a common work, you can have a laptop with i5 core CPU. It can deal with all of tasks. If you need to have more resource to do work like designer, video producer, you should use a PC
The PC has a bigger screen and has more power. Makes it excellent for media, for graphic design, etc. It's also easier to do my work on because the screen is big enough to place two documents side by side on.
The Laptop is mobile so it's extremely convenient. It's best for word processing and surfing the web. I'll often be on it rather paying attention to my classes lol.
I'll go one better. When both the PC and the Laptop are not good choices I always have my tablet too.
I have both and when I still lived at home, I preferred my computer. Now that I live together with my boyfriend and the computer is in another room, I prefer my laptop. However I hardly use either, I mostly use my iPad.
