Many years back, the .org TLD was pretty much exclusively used by non profit organizations and had a lot of clout in Google as being attached to a reputable site. Many .org TLD sites actually ranked highly because of the domains. But now, almost any site can have the .org TLD and so it has lost value in Google. Or, at least it's no more valuable than a .com site. Do you think you would still buy a .org TLD (for a new site)?

I would prefer going with a .com website presently as it is the considered the top level domain today.
