Ever catch yourself checking your registration numbers and wondering if they’re growing fast enough? It’s normal to feel stuck or unsure about bringing in new members.

  • What’s worked for you to boost sign-ups?
  • Are you using ads, social media, partnerships, or something different?
  • Does your forum feel welcoming enough for newcomers?

Is there ever "enough" registrations? 😀

I've learned that word of mouth works great and for now, I'm relying on that. I'm not going to spend money and social media was a bust, reaching out to friends/family was an even bigger bust.

As for welcoming, no, they aren't doing the job that they could be doing at making newcomers feel as if they could have a home there. Not even enough say Hi in the intro threads. You can't force members to do that, they have to want to say Hello.

I see new registrations from people on other forums and word of mouth, but not when I constantly promote the forum on Mastodon or even through SEO either... and it frustrates me 😓

After my forum grew to a certain level I started to focus on keeping the existing members engaged and coming back.

It's not always about getting new people to join, I Mean just looks as bad for people joining and not posting any content XD

Sadly, I have never been able to run a forum that has organic engagements. I usually do not get voluntary registrations.
