I was just curious to see if you guys spoke any languages other than English. Please vote in the poll and specify details if you'd like. 🙂

I can speak Spanish pretty well. I took three years of it in high school and have had quite a few coworkers and friends who spoke it and who didn't speak English that well. 😛

My country has 4 official languages - English, Malay, Mandarin & Tamil.

English is a given and Malay is my mother tongue. So I can speak those very well. I can speak basic Mandarin & Tamil as the languages are around each other often.

We have another unofficial language here called Singlish. Basically, it uses English as a base and the other three languages a combined into one. It's our own form of English and tourists usually don't undertand it.

I also took Conversational Italian in school. So, thats cool too.

Ciao!

I speak a bit of German. 🙂 Not too much though. I have the grammar down very well, but not that much vocabulary.

Besides English I can speak all of the ex-Yugoslavian languages(Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Monte Negrian, etc), Romanian,German and Vlachish(Wallachish). Learning Japanese now 😀

Besides English, I speak Chinese. I did French at GCSE level but I forgot most of it.

I took four years of Spanish in high school, but still have a way to go before I would even be close to calling myself fluent. I didn't continue with it in college. I wasn't a fan of language studies.

It looks like Spanish is in the lead (with exception of 'Other') I'm not surprised by this though. There are so many Spanish speakers all around the world.

I can speak French, Spanish, German, Italian and Dutch.

Want to learn Russian next.

Everyone speaks so many languages. I must learn some. I fell left out. 🙂

I know a little bit of a ton of languages but I'm fluent in English, Spanish and ASL.

I can speak a little German as I lived there when I was younger

Ich kann ein wenig Deutsch sprechen, da ich dort gelebt, als ich jünger war
