A common practice is exchanging 88x31 affiliate buttons with other forums, creating connections that can benefit both parties. So, do you still affiliate today?

Have you ever considered or currently use 88x31 affiliate buttons on your forum? These small, clickable banners often showcase affiliations with other forums.

How have affiliate buttons helped your forum build relationships with other communities? Have you seen an increase in traffic, engagement, or collaborative projects as a result? What criteria do you use when deciding which forums to affiliate with, and how do you ensure it's a mutually beneficial partnership?

On the flip side, if you haven't explored this practice, what are your thoughts on incorporating 88x31 affiliate buttons into your forum's design and networking efforts? Are there concerns about clutter, relevance, or other considerations that have held you back?

So, do you currently use 88x31 affiliate buttons on your forum, and if so, what have been the results?

Yes most definitely! It's a great feature to have you can even develop very close relationships with these affiliations. I usually don't seek for any requirements but the actual relationship and respect they give me. And I've seen where it has help both parties build traffic and get new members. I even shared services we both had to offered in each of our forums.

Interesting. Respect is certainly needed and often overlooked. Most have always had requirements in place. That was paired with affiliating ever since it was invented.

They actually have helped. I've taken a pause on my advertisements and affiliates while we transfer softwares. Hoping to get back into it soon. Establishing reciprocal partnerships with other forums is a fantastic practice that I find beneficial.

Recently I've focused on offering affiliate spaces to staff or forum sponsors, though historically I would try and affiliate with other sites and mutually advertise each other in that space

Yes! Affiliating with other forums is the key to building a successful forum in the long run. It drives in new users for both sites and more traffic & also helps both forums leverage themselves on the search engines.

This is something I've been actively looking into doing. Thinking that it can be done with some HTML coding which I've tested before but, just have to make it look good.

I have done some affiliate work for quite some time. Now have halted it down for a little bit.

I think I've only affiliated once or twice on a few old forums. I might start again, the only reason why I haven't is because my art skills aren't the best and I don't think I'd make a decent enough affiliate image lol.

I don't affiliate or exchange banners, however, as long as I have time, I always exchange posts.
