Yes, but it's the wrong choice.

I don't get how buying a computer can make someone immoral/wrong since it is the person's money, and they have the freedom to spend it how they want, and use what they want.

Some people also might prefer the look and feel of OS X, OS X app store, and industrial design of the Mac series of computers and laptops.

Some people might need a Mac because of the multimedia software like Final Cut Pro, Garage Band, Pro Tools, etc which are not available on Windows, and it is someone's choice to use a Mac.

Pro Tools has been available on Windows for quite awhile.

I wish I was still using XP..IMO it was a great Operating System. Though I am running Windows 7, which is very much like it.

I will NOT upgrade to Windows 8, it looks like junk!

I have XP on a Virtual Machine but I dont actually have it hard installed any more, I'm currently Tri-Booting Ubuntu, Windows 8 + Win7.

You can use Classic Shell which you can download for free at http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/ to make Windows 8 look, and behave like Windows 7 desktop, and hide the new user interface, and only show the classic desktop with a start menu.

I have Windows 8 and I really think people should try it before they bash it. Most of the hate comments really stem from the "it's different that's why it sucks" notion.

Pro Tools is available on Windows - and I personally like it better on a PC than Mac.

I still use it and works like a charm for me. A couple of the desktops I use have windows 7 on it though , it depends where I'm at.

No longer have any machines running Windows XP. All the machines in my house are running windows 7 home premium 64-bit. My macbook runs Mac OSX 10.6.8 snow leopard.

My computer at work has windows xp.
Its not bad, but its the 32 bit version which does not support 4 GB's or RAM.

I use mostly XP. I do have a Windows 7 laptop but can be a bit glitchy with my network setup with windows server 2003. I might add I hate windows 8 and i know it might cause problems with server 2003.

I wouldn't consider going back to XP. I might strip Windows 7 down to it's basic visual features, but I enjoy the speed and some things like snap WAY too much to go back.

No way, it's not efficient anymore for new software that is written to utilize Windows 7.
