Do you think it's cool to interact with people online, you know in real life?

I think it can be fun to some extent. However it's not that good when you are fighting

😵 i wouldn't say it's all cool but I don't see the negative points of interacting with them online

That's an interesting question which got me thinking.

I don't believe I've interact with anyone I know in the real world online unless you count WhatsApp and email. Conversely I have hooked up with people I've met online for social occasions in the real world, something I found rather intriguing.

A bit off-topic but you tend to build a picture in your mind of people you know on-line from what they post but also from more trivial things like their avatar. Meeting them in the real world can be an interesting experience especially if your imaginary picture of them is completely wrong.

People who I talk to online that I guess it is because I can't see their faces. Their expressions. Their disappointment. It's freeing in a way. I can leave the conversation when I want. And if I am anonymous I can practically say whatever I want. Even though I know who and what they look like for those that I meet online for many years.

I have not interacted who people that I know in real life online. Other than those that are miles or other countries away that then we use WhatsApp or other video call services.

Any person I've had contact with online, I've never met IRL. While it would always be cool, I honestly prefer to keep my online life apart from my offline life. I don't even do video calls.
I think we all get an image in our heads what someone may look like, even act like IRL. Sometimes we are wrong & prefer that person for their online persona. I'm more open & bold online because I'm an introvert who likes to write. If I TALKED to someone, they would find I mince my words, need that introvert's time to think, also would need to take more breaks to recharge my batteries. Online I can take a break when I'm ready.

I've met a few online people in real life and came to regret it. A majority of people lie about who they really are. It's nothing new. It is what it is.
