Do you think the government is hiding the cure for cancer?

What do you all think about this? I know it maybe a big ass conspiracy theory, but it's one so many believe. What do you think the world would say or think if this came true?

Some state that there is no credible evidence to suggest that the U.S. government or any other government is hiding a cure for cancer. Cancer is a complex and multifaceted disease with various types and subtypes, each requiring different approaches to treatment. We've made progress on cancer treatment and all, but nothing to cure it in one sweep or go completely.

When I had my first cancer, I was in the hospital for 7 days and 3 of those days was in the ICU. The amount of care, the amount of doctors and nurses and custodians, etc... is just incredible. Then include the amount of daily supplies just for me to receive my care, the amount of drugs pumped into me, feeding tube, oxygen, etc....

Cancer is a big money maker. If suddenly some magical cure came into being for all cancers, our economy would absolutely crumble and millions would be out of jobs. We've relied on cancer to feed families unfortunately.

I was just debating on if this theory even had even held any water, and no. Tin foil hat people are insane about so many wacko theories. I for sure don't believe the government is hiding a cure or anything but with how the world is... I dunno. 😛

It's very possible, but I don't see them releasing it any time soon if they do have it.

I do know that some of the treatment currently is quite barbaric. I had to have a neck dissection (they cut open my neck to remove some of my lymph nodes to test for cancer to see if it had spread....it had not) and the scar from that is very noticeable. You'd think there would be a more modern method than to slice and dice.

I don't believe any entity or institution can be so inhumane to hide a remedy for a disease that spares no one at all no matter how highly placed. I don't believe in this conspiracy theory.

I wouldn’t be remotely surprised, whether it’s public or private sector. There is way too much money involved. We see individuals going without life saving medication all the time in our world. How would this be any different?
