Do you think you're a nerd?

I do, because I'm good at math and I'm a computer genius. Boy, am I proud of it though!

I think I'm a nerd. Because. Everyone should be a nerd. The people who say they're not nerds are more than likely bigger nerds than the people who are happy to say they are nerds.

Some people are cool. Some people aren't cool and aren't necessarily nerds either, so I think that is false. 😉

Mostly definitely yes, I am a nerd and proud though I don't believe you gotta be good at maths to be a nerd, nor do they go hand in hand either. I hate maths, accounting etc but I'm quite good when it comes to computing!

I think nerds have changed over the years though. I mean the perception has at least. Nearly every teenager has an ipod or imac or some sort of techy gadget, infact it would be odd not to have one. Don't get me started on the haircuts..jeeze 10 years ago you'd have been beaten up for having some "do's" you see these days and it would be considered very nerdy. But..apparently it's the thing..weirdos..lol

someee, what the...what's that about? I'm really not with the lingo these days..nerd or not..I never got into all that txt net talk stuff! -_-

how are you pronouncing it...som "eee" or som "eh"? lol Is this an American thing?

I think I'm not a nerd because I don't like reading books and I'm not good in Math or other complicated computations. Not really interested. But what some nerds have in common in me, is that I love computer and video games! :cheer:

It's holding out the ending e for a few seconds, it's not just American, it's everywhere. He's merely emphasizing the word some, no extra pronunciation has been added.

I'm a nerd..

I only have a phone. :shake:

I do not consider myself a nerd because I don't know how to program as good as Mark Z. of Facebook, and forgot a lot of my math skills since I no longer use much algebra, and trigonometry these days.

Plus, I don't really like putting labels on myself since I find it kind of weird.

I consider myself a forumer, Blogger, and beginners self-taught web designer.

Bill Gates, Linus Trovalds/the creator of Linux, Steve Jobs, Larry Page and Sergey Brin who own Google, and Mark Z. are people I consider very nerdy since they're so smart and made great software and hardware products which are so great to use.

Im not a nerd. I probably was one in middle school. I was so awkward back then. lol

lol theezy, I think most of us were even if we don't like to admit it!

@froggy - Yeah I agree it's not good putting labels on ourselves but I think it's fair to associate the term nerd with someone who does all of the things you say you do, it's not a bad thing IMO at least 😀

@Optimus - Just a phone? Jeeze, you're a big time nerd so! 😛

@Bad Bieber - Thanks, it's hard to pick these things up in the non audible world!

There is one disadvantage I detest, and I would say a lot of you guys would too and that is..when people come to you allll the time, asking can you fix this for me, fix that...and you do and then they come back again, fix this and that and it's a never ending story grrr! Sooo annoying, that's a big disadvantage in my book!
