I always make sure to turn my tablet off when I'm not using it. The only time that I leave it on is if I'm downloading something very large like apps, games, videos, files, etc. Turning my tablet off when I'm not using it saves on battery power.
Tablet usually consumes a lot battery than my android cell phone.I keep it off while I am not using it.Keeping tablet at standby does not fulfill the job as far as i think.
I think Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc is still ON, and many Apps like Facebook, Twitter, and built-in apps are still running in Standby mode, so it is best to keep your tablet OFF to save more battery life.
I have a computer, wired home phone, and a tablet. : ) I don't really need a cell phone since no one really call me when I am at home, so I be paying for cell service, but rarely getting calls. Instant messaging and e-mail is also good enough to keep in touch with people using words.
I also don't really need to access the internet on a phone when I go out because finding a public computer to use at the library, Internet Cafe, a school, or community center is pretty simple since most of the places I go to like a grocery store, etc are pretty close to public computers.
It is nice to have a tablet with a bigger screen, so I can lay on a couch, or in bed, and use it for watching videos, reading ebooks/magazines, and playing games on a bigger screen while laying on the couch.
I leave my iPad on Standby when I am not using it but I make sure that wi-fi and everything is off.. It hardly uses much battery when it is on standby given everything else is turned off. I never turn it off when I am not using it.
8 hours 38 minutes usage and 15 days 19 hours standby with 21% battery left. Not bad.
