I use XAMPP (thanks to jasonp for introducing me to it) for my local server. Currently have Wordpress and phpBB3 installed on it.
I think it's great, very easy to use and has some great features such as MySQL, PHP, phpmyadmin as you mentioned above. Great thing is, it's really fast too and saves a lot of time when developing things like phpBB Styles or little tweaks to PHP scripts ~smile~
Found it to be full of features, easy to install and run, and worked 100% wonderful over my home network between computers.
Now that I'm on Linux I haven't looked into it, though since Linux is commonly used to host sites I'm sure there must be some decent ones once I look into it ~wink~
Once I get my Netbook I'll probably put XAMPP on it and who knows, I might even use it ~lol~
Nope dont have one. I may have one in the future for media stuff so i can stream things easily to my TV instead of having a bunch of DVDs that i have to pop in and out and stuff like that, mostly media.
