For those of you unaware, a sitemap is (usually) a .xml file that serves as a url list for search engines to better index your site. Google Webmaster Tools allows you to submit a sitemap to each site you have listed.

My question is, do you use sitemaps? If so, do you have them generated online or use a standalone programs on localhost? I used to use a program I had found, pretty amazing little free tool. Now that i've switched computers I can't seem to find the little devil

As far as I can remember, we don't use a site map on Chatting Time, but it'd be something to try, though.

Not at the moment though I am going to try and get around to making one now that you've mentioned it.

Ditto from me. Although, not having one, doesn't seem to have harmed our search engine listings.

Don't really bother much with that side of SEO on forums. As long as the conversation is good and activity is high, Google will hump my pages.

I'm giving this a shot. Don't know what to expect but we'll see how it goes.

Okay, it's generating my stuff, but how long does it take? We don't have that big of a site...
